Welcome!

It’s a cool and perfect summer day in the city with a temperate range between 76 and 82 degrees. It’s a welcome reprieve from the balmy and sticky days we continue to fail to get used to.

Today, there are no plans, and that’s a good thing. The boys are in their packnplay on the front porch while I finally get a moment to sit down and write. Willow (our senior Yorkie) is pacing around and soon to be bound for the indoors in search of Fred (husband and father)

This moment, with the cool breeze, the white noise from street traffic, and my littles playing in front of me inside the PnP is everything. It’s important to write this, because so often we forget to be present in the moment. To look at your surroundings and realize that everything you could possibly need is right here, with you. It is this very moment— this perfectly cool & cozy pocket in time in the hustle and bustle of NYC.., this is Hygge.
